How long do items take to ship?
Generally within 14 busines days unless otherwise specified (preorder items excluded).
This may vary based on availibility, shipping times, per order basis.
Sometimes an item may become backordered during a launch and we will fulfill that item as soon as it comes in.
If you preordered a book it may take up 8 weeks to ship. Please keep this in mind when purchasing or before emailing if the time is still within the preorder period.
Shipping + Damage Policy
If you received a damaged item or if you have a missing or incorrect item from your order, please email us at store@marenmoore.com within two weeks of delivery of your Maren mail. For damaged items, please include photos of the damage so our team can determine if it qualifies for a replacement or refund. Please see our Damage Policy for more information.
If your delivery is missing, we must be notified within two weeks of receiving your tracking information. If your tracking shows as delivered, unfortunately your item is ineligible for a refund or replacement. If you provided a wrong or incomplete address, we are unable to refund or replace your order.
When reaching out to our team, please also include your order number in your email.
Damage Policy
Your satisfaction with your product is deeply important to us. Smaller orders and clothing are usually sent in bubble poly mailers, and larger book orders in boxes. We package our items carefully, but please know that like all mailed merchandise, there is the risk of minor imperfections from postal handling.
We have the following damage policy in place regarding our merchandise.
What qualifies as damage:
• Books that are accidentally unsigned (please note we do not offer personalization)
• Water damage
• Ripped covers/dust jackets
• Missing pages/interior misprints that affect readability of story
• Dented/crushed spine or corners larger than 1.5 cm
What does not qualify as damage:
• Minor creasing or folding on the edges, spine, and top/bottom corners of the book
• Wavy pages
• Wrinkled clothing
• Bleeding or uneven sprayed edges
• Natural wear scratches on foiled details
• Scratched dust jackets
For damages, we usually do require return of the damaged item with a provided mailing label before sending a replacement. In the rare instances we no longer have the merchandise in stock, we will offer a refund.
Outside of approved damage returns, no other items (including clothing) from The Sugar + Spice Bookshop are eligible for return or exchanges. Any non-approved items returned to the shop will not be refunded or receive placements.

I ordered a preorder item with an in stock item, will they ship together?
Your in stock item will not ship until the preorder item is available if ordered together.
If you want the in stock item to ship immediately, please order seperately.
How do I track my order?
Upon shipping, you will be emailed a tracking number to the email you ordered from.
Please keep in mind it may take several days for tracking to update within the postal system before reaching out!
Do you offer personalization?
Yes! There is a personalization box when adding a book to your cart for you to add in the desired personlization.
